Welcome!

Welcome to the Liam's Fund website.
This website was developed
to make you aware of the need for high tech equipment for children of neurosurgery and how you can help.
This need for brain surgery can come about from a variety of sources: hydrocephalus,
brain tumor, and brain injuries incurred during an accident.
What is Liam's Fund?
Liam's Fund is named after Liam Gutierrez,
who was born with Hydrocephalus on November 10, 1998. During
his first month of life, Liam had over 20 brain surgeries. By the age of 18
months, Liam has had over 75 brain surgeries. That averages
to about 4 brain surgeries a month for a child who wasn't even 2
years old!
Liam's parent's, doctors, and Children's Hospital knew that
Liam was a very special child. Because of his unique situation,
Liam's parents and doctors joined together to research and find
ways of helping Liam, other children with Hydrocephalus,
anyone needing brain surgery, and to buy more sophisticated equipment
In order to begin their quest, they needed money!
Once family, friends, and other parent's who had children with
brain injuries began to hear about this, they wanted to help too.
With the help of Liam's parents, doctors, family, friends, parents, and Children's Hospital
Liam's Fund was born!
There are many ways to help raise money for Liam's Fund.
